Lutz Giebel, PhD - Managing Partner

Summary:
Dr. Lutz Giebel is a Managing Partner based in San Francisco. Lutz currently serves the boards of Alba, Allocure, Avera, Logical Therapeutics, Lux Biosciences, Neurotech, and Panoptica.

Prior Experience:
Before joining SV Life Sciences in 2001 he was a Managing Partner of Didyma LLC, a biotechnology management consulting firm. Lutz was Founder, President and CEO of CyThera Inc., Founder and Chief Operating Officer of ExSAR and was Founder and Vice President of Research of MetaXen, LLC, now part of Exelixis. He joined Arris Pharmaceutical, now part of Celera, as the first biologist and subsequently held various management positions, including Senior Director of Molecular Biology.

Qualifications:
Lutz received his PhD in Molecular Biology at the University of Heidelberg, Germany and did his Post Doctoral studies in Human Genetics at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
