James Wachtman - Venture Partner

Summary:
James Wachtman joined SVLS as a Venture Partner in 2009.

Prior Experience:
James has spent over 13 years with Laser Vision Centers (LVCI) where he was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, and TLC Vision (NASDAQ.TSX). Under Jim's leadership, the two companies grew and merged in 2002 and James became President and Chief Operating Officer of the new company - TLCVision. In October 2004, he was promoted to President and Chief Executive Officer and appointed to the Board of Directors. Prior to joining Laser Vision, James served in a variety of senior management positions for McGaw, Inc. (now B. Braun McGaw),and most recently, he served as Vice President/Operations of Central Admixture Pharmacy Services (CAPS).

Qualifications:
James graduated from Missouri State University in 1982, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and Marketing. In 2006, Jim was awarded an Outstanding Alumni award by the University.
